Day 1. Ulaanbaatar
Welcome to Mongolia! All riders will be picked up from the Chinggis Khaan International airport and transferred to a hotel in Ulaanbaatar city center. If you are already in Ulaanbaatar, you can join with group at 12:00 PM in the lobby of the hotel. City tour day! Visit of the National History Museum and Gandan Tegchilen Monastery where you can admire Golden Buddha Statue. Welcome dinner with the crew and overnight stay at a 3-4-star hotel.

DAY 2. ULAANBAATAR – MIni gobi (Elsen tasarkhai)
(280 kilometers / 174 miles)
The riders will be picked up from their hotel at 8:00 AM and brought to the Sherco office for tour previewing and motorcycle introduction meeting. The start of the adventure is a 280 km section of the sand dunes named “Elsen tasarkhai” (mini GOBI) in the south-west of Ulaanbaatar, and is our first challenge. After the preview meeting, riders will pick up their motorcycles and drive off out of the city, guided by our tour leader. Our first stop is Jirmiin Tsagaan Lake, where we are going to have a lunch outdoors, prepared by our private cook. The lunch stop is 70 km away from Ulaanbaatar, however, the riders will drive separately from the service van, following the customized route that is selected for riders. After lunch, the riders will head to the Mini Gobi, where we are going to explore a small area of sand dunes which is in “Khugnu Khan” National Park. This is our destination of the day. Once we arrive in the National Park, riders will experience Bactrian camel ride for 30 minutes or hike around the sand dunes. And visit to a small temple ruin “Erdene Khamba” located in the skirt of Khugnu Khan mountain. After exploring the area, we will head to our camping site where our team will put up tents and prepare meals for the night. Dinner and overnight stay camping outdoors.

DAY 3. KHARAKHorum - ORKHON VALLEY

After breakfast, we will move west, stopping by the sand dunes of “Ikh Mongol Els”, which is located in the south of Elsen tasarkhai. Then we will ride to the ancient capital city of Mongolia. (The first Buddhist monastery built in Mongolia 420 years ago. The monastery is surrounded by 108 magnificent stupas, which once counted almost 100 temples, 300 gers (yurt) and almost 1,000 monks.) Upon our arrival in today's Kharkhorin town we explore the “Erdenezuu Monastery”. After visiting monastery, we will have a picnic lunch on the banks of the Orkhon river. Dinner and overnight stay camping outdoors.

After breakfast, we ride to upstreaming Orkhon river and we will have a picnic lunch which will be prepared by our private cook. After lunch, we ride famous Orkhon waterfalls. Beauty of the Orkhon Valley National Park and Orkhon waterfall, formed by a combination of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes over 20.000 years ago, cascades down from a height of 27 meters.

DAY 5. TSENKHER HOT SPRING
(140 kilometers / 87 miles)
On the way to hot springs we will visit to Tuvkhun monastery. After visit to monastery our next destination is Tsenkher hot spring, one of the most famous hot springs in Mongolia and located in the Khangai Mountain region, 25 km southwest of Tsenkher soum, Arkhangai province. In Arkhangai province, there are number of old volcanos, which explains the presence of this hot water source that flows all year long at 1860 meters (1,16 mile) above the sea level in the soum of Tsenkher. The water is at 85,5°C (185,9°F). In a pleasant verdant wooded area, some yurt camps with equipment and baths with a less hot temperature have been set up for the travelers, but also for the nomads and the inhabitants. Tsenkher hot springs have healing properties notably on articular diseases and nervous system’s diseases. Composition: sodium carbonate, hydro carbonate, sulfate, fluorite, hydrogen sulfide. We will enjoy hot springs bath. Dinner and overnight stay in the yurt camp.

DAY 6. KHORGO-TERKH WHITE LAKE NATIONAL PARK

After the breakfast we will start our day riding to the Khorgo Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake National Park. This national park was established in 1994, covering 76,893 hectares land. Khorgo-Terkhiin National Park is comprised of Khorgo, extinct volcano and Terkh White Lake. The Khorgo volcano is located near the eastern end of the lake and the Suman River springs from lake. Khorgo-Terkhiin National Park is situated 2100-2500 m above sea level and between main mountain ranges of Khangai Mountain and Tarvagatai Mountain range. As always, we will have our lunch on the way to the National Park. After exploring the national park, we will have dinner on the bank of the lake and spend overnight in our tents.

DAY 7. UGII LAKE

Today, we will ride to Ugii Lake, a freshwater lake in eastern Arkhangai province, in central Mongolia. The lake, designated as a Ramsar Site of International Importance, is known for its fish and for birdlife. It is a stop over point for migrating water birds of the family Anatidae. Almost half the lake is less than 3 meters deep. This beautiful lake is not that big, covering 2570 hectares of land with a maximum depth of 15.3 m. However, this is the place where you can just rest and watch interesting birds sitting on a bank of the lake. Due to its open area, it tends to be windy all the time. However, it is relatively warm and wet during summer, except for the wind. We will have our lunch on the way to the lake and upon our arrival to the lake, the riders can enjoy and relax at the bank of the lake as our team putting the tents and preparing dinner. Spend overnight in our tents.

DAY 8. HUSTAI NATIONAL PARK

Today we will turn back to west and ride to Hustai National Park, which is a large conservation area in central Mongolia’s Tuv Province. It’s known for its population of wild takhi (Przewalski’s horse) and its ger (yurt) camps. Trails lead across the steppe to the remote Moilt camp. In the park’s southwest, the Ungut monuments are a collection of ancient Turkic stone figure sand Bronze Age rock carvings. We will have a lunch on the way to Hustai National Park. Upon arrival, we will check into our camp first, then we will start exploring the national park where you can see the wild horses. After observing the wild horses from a designated parking spot, we will ride to Ungut monuments. We will come back for our dinner in the evening and spend overnight in the tourist ger camp.

Return to Ulaanbaatar, stopping for a picnic lunch along the way. The first 25 km area cross the open steppe on the rough tracks we have become used to. After “Dashinchilen” the road (Millenium Road) has been ‘surfaced’, so the final stretch to the city should be a bit quicker. After the lunch riders will check into their hotel. Bit of shopping at State department store. In the evening at 06:00PM you will attend a show with traditional dances, music, and songs from Mongolia. After concert you will meet the tour team for a farewell dinner. ‘Over night in hotel Ulaanbaatar city center.
